Onoh's Malasada Co: Reviews & Ratings
This place is tasty and CLEAN! We've tried a bit of everything. The malasada's are clearly the thing they are known for but the burgers and breakfast sandwiches are even better IMO. The buns are what make the sandwiches so good. I'm pretty sure they use malasada rolls without sugar. They are my favorite burger bun, hands down.
Wow. This addiction started just 6 days ago for our company. My business partner showed up with the Founders Favorite box of Malasadas (donuts to us uncultured peeps). This was the beginning of the end. Today we ordered the savory sandwiches, burgers, and fries for our employee lunch party of 10. Everyone loved what they picked. The fries are hands down the best fries paired with the Onho's sauce these are dangerous. Pictured are the Southwest Burger, BBQ Burger, fries, and a Bavarian Cream Malasada with raspberry sauce drizzle on the side. I wish we had captured the chicken and breakfast sandwiches prior to being eaten by employees as they were juat as scrumptious. This will be a regular request from our employees.
Onoh’s has a refreshingly simple menu, which makes it easy to choose. We tried the bacon & egg and the egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches, both served on their soft, special malasada buns, and they were delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality.
This was so good!! The malasada buns are fried fresh and the flavor in the meat was delicious. My husband got the southwestern chicken sandwich and I got the kalua burger. The grilled pineapple on mine was amazing! It was also a lot of fun figuring out what we wanted to put in our sweet malasadas, and they were delicious. Definitely going to come back, this place is awesome! ^^
Holy I came in to judge really hard because I’m from Hawaii and Malasadas are the go to treat. But wow this place is so impressive and I loved everything. We tried some breakfast sandwiches as well and it was so good. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
Food Quality: 4/5 Service: 5/5 m Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 First a time trying out Onoh’s Malasada and it was good experience overall. They offer the traditional malasadas with your choice of toppings and fillings as well as savory items, which is a nice change from a lot of other places! We got the Kalua Burger and the Kalua sandwich along with 3 sweet malasadas. The burger was good and well balanced, but the pork was overly salty - not sure if that’s normally how it is or if we got a bad batch. Not the end of the world, but probably won’t be getting that one again. The malasadas were made earlier that evening and were filled once we ordered. The staff were super nice welcoming and friendly the moment we walked in and the restaurant was well-kept. Would come back for the sweet malasadas if I’m in the area!
I used to go to the location in Provo and that one was too far for me so glad they opened a location in PG. Also lived in Oahu for a couple years and love malasadas. Only issue I have is that the malasadas are insanely overpriced. I can get cheaper malasadas in Hawaii - oh well. One thing that is nice that I haven’t seen anywhere is that you can build your own malasada and they have a variety of flavors and toppings you can slap on there and I think that’s what makes onohs unique when it comes to malasadas. In regards to aesthetic, the bricks that they laid in the middle reminded me strongly of old school Ewa beach neighborhood . Really love what they did to the new place. In regards to service, normal customer service but I did like that they walked to my table to give me the food I ordered to go. Definitely coming back.
Onoh’s Malasada Co is a little taste of Hawaii here behind the Zion Curtain. Their newest outpost in PG is a bright, clean, welcoming spot. You order from the counter and service is friendly. We ordered a couple of malasadas. I got one sans a sugar coating as I was getting the mango drizzle. I also did the raspberry filling. It made for a delicious dessert. I did find it the dough to be a tad heavier than the malasadas I’ve laid waste to over the years across the Hawaiian Islands. And word to the wise, get the drizzle on the side. It made for a bit of a sticky affair eating it up. Ohno’s is a fun place. Definitely one worth revisiting.
